Why
are we doing this?
We want to show our
military service members how much we appreciate
them and their families. Veterans Day recognizes
those of you who serve our country. This is
our way of acknowledging your service - through
this thank you.
Who
is eligible?
Any enlisted service member who is a resident
of greater Cincinnati and is on active duty
as of November 11, 2003, or the service member's
spouse. Each individual is only eligible to be nominated once. Any additional nominations past the initial entry will be discarded.
Who
can submit an entry?
Any service member, family member, spouse,
or friend - essentially anyone!
How
long will nominations be accepted?
You may nominate an enlisted service member
(or spouse) beginning on Tuesday, November
11, 2003 through Monday, December 1, 2003.
When
will the person selected be announced?
No later than December 15, 2003
How
will the person selected be notified?
By telephone. Please note that the individual
selected will be required to demonstrate that
he/she or spouse is an active-duty member
of one of the U.S. Armed Forces by presenting
the identification card issued by his/her
branch of service.
How
do I submit an entry?
You can nominate an individual on this website.
If
you prefer to submit your nomination by mail,
please send the name of the nominee, his or
her branch of service, station of service,
and the nominee's phone number, along with
your name and phone number, to the following

Why
do you need my phone number?
In case we can't reach the service member
you've nominated, we'll want to check to make
sure the person's contact information provided
in the nomination is correct.
Is
there anyone who is specifically not eligible?
Yes. Employees and family members of the sponsors
and media partners for "Stars and Stripes
Thank You" may not be selected as winners.
These organizations include, but may not be

Are
the gifts and services that will be given
to the person selected exchangeable?
No. All services have been donated by each
respective sponsor and are not negotiable,
refundable or exchangeable.
